Meet the Veterinarians of Community Animal Hospital

Warren Davis, DVM DACVIM

Warren Davis, DVMDr. Warren Davis is the owner of Community Animal Hospital and is board certified in internal medicine. He is the only board-certified internal medicine specialist in Morris County that can be seen without a special referral.

Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and received his advanced training in internal medicine at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. At Animal Medical Center, Dr. Davis's study and research focused on endocrine, urinary tract, and immune-mediated diseases.

In addition to his clinical duties in internal medicine, Dr. Davis has served as a consultant to local veterinarians and a national laboratory.

Outside of the office, Dr. Davis enjoys fly fishing, his tropical aquarium and koi pond, gardening, traveling, and playing the guitar.

Deborah Adelsohn, DVM

Deborah AdelsohnDr. Deborah Adelsohn graduated from New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1994. Following veterinary school, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center, NYC. She has been a member of the Community Animal Hospital staff ever since.

In addition to feline and canine patients, Dr. Adelsohn has a lifelong interest in exotic animals. She is highly regarded in the veterinary field for her experience and knowledge of exotic pets, including avian, reptile, and small mammal (especially rabbits, guinea pigs, and chincillas). She is a member of the Association of Avian Vets, Association of Exotic Mammal Vets and House Rabbit Society. Dr. Adelsohn enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters as well as her dogs Peter and Goose, and parrotlet Emmett.

Rebecca Lorig, DVM

Rebecca LorigDr. Rebecca Lorig graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at the Oradell Animal Hospital. She has been with Community Animal Hospital since 2002.

In practice, Dr. Lorig's specific interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, and particularly the human-animal bond. She also has advanced training in grief counseling. In the free time she has left after spending time with her daughter, Amelia, Dr. Lorig enjoys agility with her dog Luna, theater, is an avid reader.

William Pittman, DVM

Will PittmanDr. Will Pittman graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and has practiced at Community Animal Hospital since 1986. Dr. Pittman has an MBA from Rutgers and enjoys veterinary dentistry and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, Dr. Pittman works hard as a member of a Master Swim Team.

Sheila Bank, DVM

Sheila BankDr. Sheila Bank graduated from New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1987. Dr. Bank is a nationally accredited veterinarian able to write health certificates for international travel for your pets. Dr. Bank has an interest in feline medicine and used to raise Persian cats for show (of course she loves dogs too!). She is a member of the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. In her spare time, Dr. Bank enjoys growing orchids, birding and cooking.

Melissa Lee, DVM

Melissa LeeDr. Melissa Lee graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and joined the staff of Community Animal Hospital in 2009, where she is happy to utilize her love of surgery. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys drawing, running, and spending time with her rabbits and lizard.

Rachel Cohen, DVM

Rachel CohenDr. Rachel Cohen did her undergraduate work at the University of Rhode Island and gained her DVM degree at Ross School of Veterinary Medicine. She then did a rotating internship at Redbank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ. She has a strong interest in ophthalmology and community outreach to help educate owners on how to best care for their pet. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading with her island dog Bart, and visiting the beach.
