to animals.Onions, garlic, raisins and grapes can actually be deadly.\u00a0 Chocolate, especially <em>Bakers chocolate<\/em>, and <em>Xylitol<\/em>, an artificial sweetener used in gum and in some baked goods, are extremely dangerous if ingested by pets.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We love the turkey and ham but don\u2019t give in to those sad eyes!!\u00a0 Be sure to dispose of table scraps out of your pet\u2019s reach since <em>food high in fat<\/em> can lead to pancreatitis, which can be very serious and lead to hospitalization.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Frosty and Rudolph love <span style=\"color: #999999;\">silver <\/span>and <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">gold <\/span>but <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">holiday <span style=\"color: #000000;\">decorations<\/span><\/span> including some plants can be harmful,<em> lilies<\/em> are deadly to cats.\u00a0 <em>Pinecones, pine needles, tinsel<\/em> and <em>ribbon<\/em> (irresistible to cats!), if ingested can cause intestinal blockages and\/or perforations. \u00a0Also keep candles up where tails and noses will not knock them over or get burned.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">It is important to give your pet a safe, quiet place to escape to during the festivities.\u00a0 Especially, if your pet is shy around a lot of people and noise.\u00a0 Make sure your pet is wearing an id tag or has a microchip in case of accidental escapes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Keep your veterinarian\u2019s phone number handy in case of emergencies.\u00a0 A good website for information on poisonous food and plants:\u00a0
